The 1931 Constitution stands as the sole democratic constitutional precedent of our current political system. How is it expounded in law school classrooms? This is the primary question addressed in this study. How was it conceptualised by contemporaneous jurists? This serves as the second guiding query. Above all, what were the intentions behind its drafting by its protagonists? Through this final inquiry, the aim is to provide some interpretative keys that allow us to conceive it as a historically congruent constitutional document.
