Abstract

This article analyzes the historical constitution defense of Navarre by the General States from Baja Navarra in 1789. It talks about the similarities with the  intents of the Alta Navarra’s Diputación to the Assembly of Bayonne in 1808, to the Cortes of Cadiz in 1813 and to the Estatuto Real of 1834.

Fernando Mikelarena Peña, Universidad de Zaragoza

(Bera, 1962), Doctor en Historia por la UNED (1992) y profesor titular del Departamento de CC. de la Documentación e Hª de la Ciencia de la Universidad de Zaragoza, es autor de tres libros y de más de un centenar de artículos, en solitario o en colaboración, sobre diversas parcelas historiográficas.
