This article wants to provide nuances to the historiographical vision which has linked the history of the Spanish Moderate Decade (1843-54) with centralism. With this aim, and accepting the will of the moderate ruling elites to apply a centralised political system, the text will analyse the representation of territorial’s interests within the Parliament. Mainly from the Catalan and Galician cases it will also prove the existence of decentralised political spaces, which will challenge the effectiveness of the power’s concentration.
