In this article I do not try to analyze the whole works of Blanco White, but only to refer the main subjects in his analysis about the American situation. We will also try to revise that “pro-american” thought that has frequently been attributed to Blanco White. In this revision, we reject the lack of critical studies of Blanco White, who is in fact a main character in the Spanish political thought of the XIXth Century.
