Democracy in Europe. A note about the “Societas Erasmiana” in Dahrendorf

This paper aims to raise the problem of the Democracy in Europe with the view of the sociology of philosophy and constitutional writing. Ralf Dahrendorf has expound “the new beginning of history” in Europe after the fall of communism as a history of freedom. Societas Erasmiana would be representative of intellectuals with a strong public projection, which would withstand the temptations of totalitarianism.
