Abstract

This paper aims to raise the problem of the Democracy in Europe with the view of the sociology of philosophy and constitutional writing. Ralf Dahrendorf has expound “the new beginning of history” in Europe after the fall of communism as a history of freedom. Societas Erasmiana would be representative of intellectuals with a strong public projection, which would withstand the temptations of totalitarianism.

Doctor en Filosofía y profesor de Filosofía en la Enseñanza Secundaria. Dirige el Observatorio de Ciudadanía y estudios Culturales de la Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo de Valencia. Codirige La Torre del Virrey. Revista de Estudios Culturales. Su último libro es Constitución y arte de escribir, Aduana Vieja, Valencia, 2009. En la actualidad prepara un libro sobre la Revolución americana.
