This study not only vindicates the Constitution of Cundinamarca as the first one in the Hispanic world, but it also introduces a reflection on the particular nature of the revolutionary events that took place at this portion of the Spanish monarchy. The analysis of the Constitution is also an approach to the significant changes related to the monarchical power and the Spanish nation.
