State powers and State functions: A voice for a Dictionary on Constitutional History

Abstract

The aim of this paper is the study of the State’s powers and functions, by considering the evolution of the powers division theory from Locke and Montesquieu’s thought to the constitutionalism of twentieth-century. It shows that the powers division theory is again very useful to defend the fundamental rights of citizens.

Desde marzo de 2005 es “Professore associato” de Instituciones del Derecho Público en la Universidad de Insubria, tras haber sido “ricercatore” de Instituciones del Derecho Público en la misma Universidad entre los años 2000 y 2005. Sus intereses científicos abarcan el Derecho Constitucional, la Historia Constitucional y el Derecho Público de la economía.

Raffaele Manfrellotti, Università di Foggia

Doctor en Derecho Público interno y comunitario en 2003. Actualmente es “ricercatore” de Instituciones del Derecho Público en la Universidad de Foggia. Sus intereses científicos, exteriorizados en sus publicaciones, se refieren al Derecho Constitucional, el Derecho Público Comunitario, el Derecho Público de la Economía, el Derecho Administrativo y el Derecho Procesal.
