Overview of the Constitutional Historiography in Cuba. Brief Itinerary from its Origins to Our Days

The following paper analyzes the evolution of Cuban constitutional historiography from its origins to the present day. In this sense, it addresses the formation process of Constitutional History as an academic discipline in nineteenth-century Europe, and then examines the beginnings of Historical-Legal Studies in Cuba during the afore-mentioned century. Finally, it analyzes the development of Cuban constitutional historiography throughout the twentieth century, considering both the pre-revolutionary and revolutionary stages.
