John Jay passed away just one hundred and ninety years ago, on may seventeenth, one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine. After ten years of practicing law and a quarter of century in the most important offices, he retired from public life in 1801 to stay with his family. In this brief article we try to resume Jay´s life and the accomplishments to his country.
