The Spanish Constitution of 1812 and the Norwegian Constitution of 1814 were issued in historical situations that can be compared as can also the spirit and certain articles of the Constitutions. The question is raised whether the Norwegian assembly that prepared the socaled Eidsvoll Constitution of 1814 had knowledge of the Spanish Constitution.
