Abstract

The article «Espíritu de partido», written in El Censor by Alberto Lista in 1820, exemplifies the negative conception that the most conservative Spanish liberalism had of the figure of the political party at the beginning of the Liberal Triennium. Lista elaborates a set of reflections aimed at demonstrating how, in his opinion, party spirit influences the rest of the dangers of the constitutional system.
