First steps of the Diputación of Almería during the Trienio Liberal

Abstract

The province of Almería and its main government body, the Diputación, were born during the ‘Trienio Liberal’ (1820-1823). Although with respect to the first we have abundant data that make it easier for us to follow the path that led to its birth, this is not the case with respect to the second, since the ‘Libros de Actas’ corresponding to this period are currently untraceable. Hence, the reconstruction of its first steps must be done by resorting to other sources of information such as the press, the archives of the Real Chancillería de Granada, that of the Diputación de Granada, etc.
